Monty Python: Almost the Truth

Monty Python: Almost the Truth

This is the Los Angeles premiere of the two-hour theatrical version of the acclaimed six-hour documentary that covers 40 years of Monty Python, from 1969's Flying Circus to contemporary projects such as the musical Spamalot. It's the Python equivalent of the Beatles' Anthology TV series, telling the group's story using exhilarating extracts, including many rare Python and pre-Python clips. It features new interviews with John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, alongside archival interview footage of the late Graham Chapman and interviews with several associates of the Pythons, including Carol Cleveland and Neil Innes. Other participants include Eddie Izzard, Russell Brand, Dan Aykroyd, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Green, Simon Pegg, Tim Roth and even the man who financed the Python's first movie, Hugh Hefner.
