Love is Tolerance is a profound documentary that asks how we can contain hatemongers, extremists and terrorists of all kinds and promote the human values of the United Nations and America to make love and tolerance great again. The film was written, directed and produced by Dr. Hubertus Hoffmann, founder of the Global Tolerance Initiative and co-producer of the Oscar-nominated 2016 documentary short "Watani: My Homeland."
The executive producer of this German-Swiss production is P.C. Neumann. The crew is supported by Miguel Angelo Plate as co-director and Tillmann Dietrich as associate producer.
The film promotes tolerance and respect and is based on the book "Love is Tolerance – Tolerance is Love" by Hubertus Hoffmann. Its aim is to reach the young YouTube and Instagram generation.
"Love is Tolerance" was shot in the United States, Berlin, Brussels, Rome, Israel, Palestine and Jerusalem, Abu Dhabi, Iraq and Afghanistan.
It includes exclusive interviews about tolerance with the four Nobel Peace Prize laureates His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Malala Yousafzai, Kailash Satyarthi and Shimon Peres, as well as with such champions of tolerance like Yusuf Islam, Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarack Al Nahyan, Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh from UAE, the Palestian Ismail Khatib, Wajeeh Y. Nusseibeh and Bishop William Shomali of Jerusalem, as well as Ehud Barak, Robi Damelin, Yael Armanet Chernobroda and Zeev Rotstein of Israel, Prince Asfa Wossen Asservate of Ethiopia, and archbishop Alfons Nossol of Poland.
