A lady freedom fighter living in Thanjavur used to hoist the Indian flag every year regularly on the Independence Day.
One day before the Independence Day celebration she took out the flag to mend it, she herself put the thread into the eyehole of the needle with her naked eyes.
Even though she is 70 years old, she is started hand stitching from one end, the other end is held by her grand son who is wearing spectacles.
