Strange Nature
Strange Nature
'Strange Nature' is based on a true unsolved ecological mystery where thousands of hideously deformed frogs turned up in the waters of Minnesota. The film is an ecological thriller as seen through the eyes of a single-mother and her 11-year old son, who reluctantly return to her small home town to care for her dying father and find themselves fighting for their lives.
As the deadly mutations move beyond the ponds, the mystery spreads and the fear rises in the community. Some blame the intimidating disfigured hermit and his daughter who live on a surrounding lake.
Environmental science points to the water sources. Possible causes are pesticides, parasites or both. Suddenly, a couple of teenagers go missing. The attacks are so brutal it doesn’t seem humanly possible.
'Strange Nature' builds to an uncompromising climax of the terrors affecting a nice, quiet town that’s left to fend for itself.
