Storm Foretold
When you're planning a coup, it's not the best idea to have a camera crew around recording it. This film spells real trouble for Donald Trump.

A Storm Foretold
A Storm Foretold chronicles Roger Stone's pivotal role over two years – from orchestrating the 'Stop the Steal' campaign to laying the groundwork for the January 6th assault on the Capitol. It offers an unfiltered view, allowing audiences to witness firsthand the human catalysts of the epic divide we see today.
This is a classic case of right-time, right-place filmmaking, as Guldbrandsen began his project in 2018, before Stone was arrested and convicted for witness tampering and lying to Congress, pardoned by the president, and quietly reinstated in time to orchestrate his ‘Stop the Steal’ masterplan that led to the attempted coup. The film crew are there for the entire rollercoaster ride, up until the immediate, acrimonious, aftermath of January 6, and capture major players being astoundingly candid—or astoundingly reckless—on camera. Guldbrandsen’s film has taken on a life of its own. He was been subpoenaed by the J6 Committee, the FBI has showed up at his doorstep in Copenhagen - wanting his recordings, and now with the arrest and indictment of president Trump the film is going viral in the U.S. even before its release.
As the title implies, it’s all laid out in plain sight for months and years before the “unthinkable” happened, and the film also marshals copious broadcast footage of Stone and his presidential and Proud Boys cronies clearly or codedly announcing how far they are prepared to go to hold on to power.
