Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl

Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl

Live at the Hollywood Bowl is the definitive documentation of the Pythons on stage. It was filmed over four nights at the iconic L.A. venue in 1980 in the wake of the gigantic success of "Life of Brian." In addition to the full troupe - Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin), the film also features Python associates Carol Cleveland in numerous supporting roles and Neil Innes performing his whimsical songs. It showcases stage renditions of many of the most beloved sketches from the four series of their "Flying Circus" TV show and includes some rarely-seen inserts, mostly taken from two German TV specials, "Monty Python's Fliegender Zirkus," shot in 1972. Among the many skits to be enjoyed are "The Silly Olympics," "Bruces' Philosophers Song," "The Ministry of Silly Walks," "Crunchy Frog," "Albatross," "Nudge Nudge," "Four Yorkshiremen," "The Argument Clinic," and "The Lumberjack Song."
